As a child growing up in Minnesota and exposed to the world of dog mushing at a young age, it was a dream and life's goal of mine to someday move to Alaska and run the Iditarod. I've been fortunate enough to have finished all 16 Iditarods I've started, always finishing in the top-20. I have also raced extensively throughout Canada, the lower 48 as well as one year in Europe. We have a unique off-grid property complete with a log home run almost entirely off solar and wind power, that we've built ourselves. Our home has been featured in several magazine articles and documentaries as a complement to my wife's award-winning work in renewable energy. We are proud parents of three lively young budding mushers. I'm passionate about dog mushing and I enjoy sharing the dogs and our lifestyle with others.
